Triethyl Phosphate is an ethylating agent for nitrogen heterocyclic compounds. TEP is used as a solvent for synthesis of organicc chemicals especially acetic anhydride. It is used as a raw material to manufacture Tetraethyl Pyrophosphate(TEPP). TEP is used as a flame retarding plasticizer or additive for cellulose, polyester and polyurethane. It is used as an intermediate in manufacturing of phosphonate esters and vinyl phosphates.
