APG (alkylpolyglycosides) are called new generation environmentally friendly surfactants, based on renewable raw materials and are completely biodegradable. Apg are characterized by special properties: As non-ionic surfactants, they have outstanding wetting and dispersion capabilities. Even in extremely hard water, they are able to most effectively reduce surface tension. Good solubility at low temperature, non-corrosive to alkali and electrolyte and strong soluble enhanced capability.
The use of APG in a detergent or shampoo allows a reduction of the total amount of surfactants without sacrificing any performance. Apg have a good compatibility with the eyes, skin, and mucous membranes. Pesticide formulations containing APG surfactants in liquid form already exist in the agriculture market. In plant protection products, too, they ensure good skin compatibility, making the products safer to use.
